You may have decreased sensitivity, but it's highly doubtful that you would loose all sensation.

I regained all sensitivity....

If you have severe G and have a nipple relocation it is UNLIKELY you would gain any sensation.

If you only have lipo and excision it is LIKELY you would gain back all sensation, however the reconnection of the nerve endings is a slow process.  Time.

Im 2 months post op and would say the description above of "decreased sensation" is accurate.

Honestly, I could care less...as long as I don't have gyne anymore, sensation in nipples is not important for me.

x2.  i had a scar years ago from surgery without sensation.  came back but took a lot of years.  but between that or gyne, the gyne goes.

Return of sensation is a very individual process, entirely unpredictable and out of the hands of the surgeon.

Initially after surgery, there is numbness of the surrounding skin and the nipples.  The surrounding skin usually regains feeling first -- followed by regain of sensation in the nipples.  This process can proceed within 1-2 months -- or take 6-8 months or even longer.

I have never had a patient who, at one year for example, had no nipple sensation whatsoever.  But on occasion, there may be permanent diminished nipple sensation.  The more direct surgery done near the nipple, the longer it will be before sensation returns.

Most guys couldn't care ...

But yeah, if your having your nipple relocated to rectify very serious gynecomastia then it's a good chance that you'll never have sensation again.
