Does anyone know if it is Dr. recommended. And when is a good time to start. My Dr. didn't mention anything to me about massaging the area, although I keep reading on here about it.  I am not due to see him for another 45 days. I am currently 1 month post op and still a little sore on one side.

  • Gyne sucks
if i were you, i would call him up before you did it. masaging is generally to get rid of the scar tissue, not to relieve the pain.
Please, Jesus, make my gyne go away!

My doc told me too when I had surg... and it worked.. the reason is to speed up the healing process and it helps avoid the scaring under the skin after too... but I think you have to wait a certain period b4 you do this..

USUALLY DOCS DO NOT RECOMEND MASSAGING THE BREASTS

What? Every doc I've talked to or heard someone else talk about recommends it.

I just had the op with Dr. Bermant. I'm supposed to start light massaging at 4 weeks, then the deep massaging at 6 weeks. It helps soften up the firm tissue's, break down scar tissue, and definitley speeds up the recovery time dramatically.
