Karidis current consult & op dates......also New York surgeons

I got a consult with Karidis in mid August. If it hadn't been for a cancellation I would have had to wait until mid September. As it was, it was only 1 week to wait. Current op waits are currently much longer tho. As a day patient, the earliest date is now 20th October (or was 10 days ago). As with one other poster, you may get earlier if you pay the extra £500 to stay overnight. Overnight stayers were getting mid-Sept. You don't normally have to wait that long, but K is on hols for 2 weeks from now.
Cost, as others have stated, £4,100.
I also looked at New York surgeons, as I am eager to get this done sooner rather than later, (emigrating in 3 months).
I saw a Dr Elliot Jacobs on TV many months ago. He charges about $7,500 (about £4,050) incl all tests. Does more gyne ops than prob anyone else in USA (100+ each year for over 20 years), tho not too impressed with some of the results pics on his website. Also quoted $10,000 (£5,400) by Dr John Sherman.
Worth while asking what type of lipo they do. K uses power assisted (PAL), Sherman tumescent. Have read up what this means and am none the wiser, tho tumescent seems to be a more modern approach.
Have left this 10 days now so 20th Oct may have slipped as an op date. Too many things to organise at the mo' !!
One other thing.  My younger brother had this op over 30 years ago on the NHS when he was a mid-teenager. No gyne specialists in those days !! He had visible scars for a year or so, creased nipples for even longer...but, at the end of the day, would way rather have had these minor probs than the original condition. I'm now in my early fifties and have decided to bite the bullet as this is now getting alot worse with age. I'm not gonna get perfection but reckon that any improvement will outweigh the downside. I'm determined not to get obsessed with every bump and crease. Believe me, unless things go badly wrong, it will only be you that notices the little imperfections !!

p.s. (30th Aug) I bit the bullet and paid an extra £500 for an overnight stay. This meant an op date in only 2 weeks. I had left it too long to get 20th October. It's now 30th October for day cases, which is way too late for me.
