ok so I got my gyno surgery done and its awesome pecs looking tight but while I was in the p surgerons office I noticed this thing about lipo melt. its like an injection that melts fat in certain areas. its not for massive fat loss just for like love handles, face, neck and it also said chest. ofcourse it wont remove the gland but for the pseudo gynies out there that might be an easy way out of surgery. worth looking into ;)

you're referring to lipostabil aka lipodisolve... all it is is a solution of phosphatidylcholine mixed with deoxycholate.  the deoxycholate serves as sort of detergent that destabilizes the cell walls of the fat cells causing them to release the lipids they contain and the phosphatidylcholine helps carry them away.

treatments can be HELLA expensive compared to doing it yourself. $1500/treatment and you need multiple treatments to see results.

IMO do it right -- save up and have the surgery. otherwise will be just another one of those costly experiments that ultimately ends in disappointment

Agree with Moobius.  This is a treatment that is unproven in proper scientific studies.  It can also result in some amazing infections if done improperly.  It is now being studied in the US -- but the results are still out.

Would be extremely careful about trying this.  I wouldn't use it for any of my patients at this time.

I'm so glad to see this discussion because a friend mentioned this to me and I was surprised to hear something existed.  If it were a miracle though, I am sure it would be all over the media.

Thanks Moobius and Dr. Jacobs for clearing this up!
