qu: gyne surgery Plastic surgeon vs general surgeo

hi,

I've been doing some research for gyne surgery where I live (salt lake city area) and it appears many of the general surgeons (GS) do gyne surgery more often than plastic surgeons (PS) do.  it this common?  I'm guessing the reason is because general surgeons charge a bit less (since they don't have as specialized skills as a plastic surgeon).  plus people where I live don't have as much disposable income as most people.

I've yet to see any good outcome on these forums of anyone having surgery through a general surgeon.  Go with the plastic surgeon.
