i hope your happy, i think it looks great. it will improve in time. im almost 4 months post op now and i can tell you that my chest does not look nearly as flat as it did when the doc first removed the bandages, but that i think it still looks great, maybe even better and more natural then it would look it if were completely flat like it was when he first unwrapped it. you got some good bruising going on :D that will go away in no time!

Thanks guys...  He charged $2000 plus $100 GST.

My only concern at this fresh stage is that my left breast (right breast in the photos) remains slightly larger than the other breast.  This was a problem that JCF identified on my first consult but am unsure if it has been corrected.  I'm hoping that the left breast is more swollen than the other one b/c he had to remove more gland/fat.  I hope that is the case.

Overall, i am very happy with the results as they look a lot better at this stage than they did.  I will continue to keep you guys apprised as time goes on.

I know its way too early to be talking revision surgery and all that, but from your experiences and having read these posts for a while, does JCF charge extra to revise, if for some reason i (or any of us for that matter) have to go down that road in the future?

Just curious

You have to give it 3-6 months before you can pass judgment on surgery results.

Thanks for the side shot...

Yeah, looks great  so far dude. You must be elated!!!  ;)

Just put healing out of your mind for a few months... Don't evaluate your progress 'every day'... Or you'll drive yourself crazy... You'll start to get paranoid and start to think it wasn't done right and that you'll need a revision. Your mind will play tricks on you if you let it...  :-\

Sure, if you notice something very out of the ordinary like if they swell up like balloons...   :P  then yeah, contact Dr. F. ASAP...

However, you are aware of what will happen during your healing from reading this site. You know what 'should' be and 'should not' be during your healing journey...

Patience is the key though... healing from GRS does not happen overnight...  ;)

Hey guys,

As an update, I am feeling great.  It is 2.5 wks post op and there is only slight residual pain remaining.

Quick question.  I was told by leslie that the surgical tape would wash off after 2 or 3 showers.  It is now many many showers after that and the tape is still stuck on there pretty good.  Did you guys take it off?
I am not sure what to do.  Please let me know what you guys did.

Hi guys, its past 3 weeks post op now.  I took the vest off for half a day two days ago because I went
to a wedding. I was in pain after doing so.  I then had another wedding last night
so I took the vest off again.  When I got back from the wedding, the breasts were very swollen and painful.
I put the vest on over the night. I just work up and they are painful.

Is this normal? The pain and the large amount of swelling?

I didn't experience much pain dude. However, I was swollen for about a week and a half.

Can you post some pics of the amount of swelling that you are experiencing?

You may want to contact JCF about this...

GB,

can you breakdown for me what i am to be expecting over the next few weeks/months in the recovery process.  I would appreciate it.

I know that they are to swell up, but how much?  Is it supposed to look like the gyne is back or is it minor swelling?  How long before the swelling goes down?

Like i mentioned last post, i took the vest off for about 6hrs each of the last 2 days (i can actually take it off for good now since i am over 3 weeks post-op) but since i was feeling pain and swelling, i have put the vest back on.

I saw a video of Dr. Delgado's patients in the US, and he tells his patients to keep the vest on for 6 weeks post op.  I feel a lot less pain with the vest on at this point.

Perhaps you can breakdown the healing process from 3 wks post op to the 3 month mark.  Thanks.

You can read about my post-op healing here.

Since everyone heals differently, and at different rates, it's impossible to say how you will heal and how long it will take...  That's why surgeons say "It may take as much as a full year to obtain final results.". If you are very concerned about your swelling/pain, it's best to contact JCF dude.

Hey, if you feel more comfortable with the vest on, then do it dude... Wear it until the discomfort/pain is gone...

My swelling went completely away at about the 14 day mark...  and had no pain due to the swelling. However, that was just me... As I mentioned above, we all heal at different rates. Many factors play a part in how our bodies heal...

Have you seen my 'Before' and 'After' pics? I have many pics documenting the healing progression.

As I mentioned in a post above, post a few recent pics so that I can get a better understanding of how extensive your swelling is... Thanks dude...  ;)
