Last week I saw my surgeon from Kaiser and he said surgery would only improve my condition about 10-20%. He said most of the mass in my chest is muscle but I can definitely feel a lot of fat too.

How bad is my gyne? Will I see a significant improvement if I have the procedure?

pics arent great tbh. looks mostly muscle to me to as ur chest curves round cant see no gland or pointy nipples. the thing is muscle isnt hard all the time either. i have noticed alot of the top sprinters have very big chests but they are all muscle.

on a good point atleast ur surgeon was bein honest

Well dude, you are your own worst critic (as we all are on here).

I think 99% of the guys on this site would kill to have your chest.

2/10.  depends on whether you can live with it or want that 20% improvement, and no, no amount of workout is going to shrink that.  i have no problem seeing it in the side view, if that were just muscle, you'd be spending hours a day on the presses.  if you chose to get an op i wouldn't blame you.
* a man is more than a body will ever tell
* if it screws up your life the same, is there really any such thing as "mild" gyne?

Gynecomastia would seem to be essentially self defined and/or self diagnosed.

With that in mind if you think you have it, you do.

I'll bet that did not help a bit so I'll try to be more objective.

It could be just the pictures, but what I see looks like mostly quite full pecs and not much in the breast area. in fact I do not see that the breast area has contour of it own at all but the contour of the pecs seems to go in a uniform curve from top to bottom. Likewise, the nipple and areola do not appear overly prominent.

Now go back to my first statement. If it troubles you, see a surgeon. The truth is that the only evaluation of any importance is yours.

While I haven't examined you, you do appear to have some fat on the abdomen and love handle areas.  Therefore, by definition, you would also have some fat on your chest.  You also appear quite muscular.

If it is fat (and perhaps breast tissue as well) on your chest that bothers you, you might try a stringent diet for 2-3 months.  If there is no significant improvement in your chest, then you might consider gyne surgery.

Have you checked your Body Mass Index Calculation BMI or used a Body Fat Analyzer?  Together they can provide clues about overall body fat issues.

Pictures of only the front and sides do not show enough detail of the chest contour, especially for subtle problems.  That is why I evolved my Standard Pictures for Gynecomastia. Follow the instructions on the page.  The oblique views and how tissues move over the muscles tend to show contour problems over the muscles.  Even better would be my Standard Video for Gynecomastia. Nothing is as good as an actual examination with someone who treats a great deal of gynecomastia.

You can find many different types of gynecomastia on my website and how surgery can help for even subtle Puffy Nipple Gynecomastia.

Hope this helps,

Wow, I really do appreciate all the feedback from you guys! I'm currently going to try to lose some weight and body mass and see how that goes first.

If I do need surgery, is it just some lipo I need or would I need extraction as well?

Thanks again for all the advice!

So are you saying you don't think even If I loose 10-15LBS that it would effect my chest?

yea i think if you lose some weight your chest will be fine.  You have a lot of muscle in your chest and that's just how chests look that have a lot of muscle.  That's now bad at all.  I take it you don't like the way you look in your shirt?

your nipples dont stick out at all! looks like you enjoy the bench press. honestly hit a cut phase and work your back at the gym more because your chest appears very powerful and is thus hunching your shoulders forward.

with an improved posture that is one awesome chest
