  i had my surgery this morning went well and was first to have the surgery i had excision and lipo n woke up with no pain just a little bit dizzy.
royal free hospital.
still havnt seen my chest
just wondering when i can take it off to have a look?
any1 want to ask me ?s about nhs go ahead here 2 help

what process did you go through in order for NHS to give you surgery?
i hear many get refused for surgery.

I had 2 operations on the NHS for my gyno. I'm 22 right now as well. Had the 1st end of 2007 and then the 2nd summer 2009.

After going to a couple of GPs (one told me to come back later, went to another who dismissed me, went back to the 1st and he was like 'why didn't you come sooner')... got referred to a blood/hormone specialist... they referred me to plastics department and then I was on a roll (despite standard appointment balls-ups and my surgeon moving hospital twice). I was very happy with all the medical staff and all went well.

Good to hear someone else was successful - you'll probably have to wait at least a week before they'll take off your dressings, and even then it takes a long time for the swelling to truely come down, so you won't knwo the true success of the op for at least a couple months.

If it looks like not much has been done at first then don't worry!! The swelling takes a long time to go down and for the whole area to heal. Trust me - I've done this twice already! Hope it went well!

I'm 4 weeks post up and I still find little lumps behind nipples
I had excision and lipo, n its makes my right nipple a little funny.
How comes you had 2?

Hey guys, Im 21, Ive been told by the plastic surgeon (nhs) to go back and that was last july, Im now booked in for 13th april, I have no idea why he wanted me to come back 6 months later but atleast Im at the plastic surgeon phase. What did you guys say to your plastic surgeons to convince them? Im going to say how badly it effects my life etc but would like to know what others have said. He asked me if I get pains or a need to scratch around the nipple area, I dont get anything like that, is that a bad thing or good thing in terms of getting the surgery?
