age: 16
weight: 140
height: 5' 9"

So I've had Gyne for almost 7 years now, I'm going on 17 this summer
and it all started when I was 10, and I gained massive amounts of weight,
i was eating uncontrollably and managed to get to 157 while being 5'2,
but as the years went by, and started playing more sports, I grew
out of it and managed to have plateaued at this weight.
Well ever since I developed them i have been ridiculed and made fun of
but I never really paid much attention to it until I reached 15 years
of age, and then I noticed that this was never going to go away,
I lived with it for another year, until I started going at the gym
about a month ago, and i started running and building muscle,
my arms got a bit more defined and I grew muscle on my chest as well,
my father said that this will all be resolved with exercise, IT DIDN'T
The muscle just made it worse, now my gyne protrudes more.
I visited my family doctor and she sent me to an endocrine,
my appointment is Aug 17th, I really cannot wait that long
for a doctor to tell me something I already know, therefor
I sat down with my parents and
explained my whole ordeal with them, and I showed them
Dr. Elliot Jacobs' appearance on The Doctors and my mom was
convinced I had it, my father didn't oppose it, so I'm making
my appointment with Dr. Elliot Jacobs tomorrow, and hopefully
I can be gyne-free when summer comes so I can actually feel
good in wearing a wifebeater, or going shirtless to a beach, pool,
or waterpark,
and feel comfortable wearing V-necks that i love so much.

I'm done with this waiting game, I took matters into my own hands
and did something about it, and to all those out there that took
time to read this and still havent sat down with your folks,
DO IT, even though it took me a month to finally convince them
its worth it now because soon I will be gyne-free,

Dr. Elliot Jacobs, if you're reading this, I will be visiting you shortly.

any comments questions , more than welcomed, :)

UPDATE: I called today; my appointment is on the 28th of may,
I really cant wait!!

PSHH, bro, its not that bad.  Once you have the surgery you'll look perfect.  No worries man..I'm just excited for you

My situation was just like yours about 15 years ago. You'll be a new man. Good for you for talking about this with your parents and others. I know it can be very difficult.  Good luck!

sad to say i still have it.. :( and i must work hard for me to get a surgery.. :( my parents didn't understand my situation and they just told me that i just wanna be perfect and i could just eliminate them through exercise.. the doctor also told us the same way and i really felt bad.

ur lucky ur parents approve and will pay for it..my story is different though my parents would not be able to afford that and my mom would tell me im crazy if i brought up plastic surgery to her...all i cant do is just keep hitting the gym and make them more muscular at least and hang on til i graduate college and have a decent job to pay for it!!my chest does seem to look more square and formed after a work out!! surgery is the last option am considering my gf keeps insisting that its just fat cause she tells me my boob feels different then hers that i dont have any breast tissue...i hope she right!!! well good luck with ur surgery!

i also workout in the gym and i always wear a dark shirt so that i could hide it.. it's hard workoing out without anyh confidence 'coz you could see some weird stare from the other guys there maybe because they did noticed my chest.. I have an overall nice body and chest is my only problem.. we have the same situation bro 'coz i just graduated from college and i wish someday i could earn enough to get my surgery.. :(

xo and ivan- keep your heads up bros, you never know.

UPDATE: so I met with Dr. Jacobs yesterday, and I have to say,
hes the nicest doctor I have ever been too,
he made us (my mom and I) feel relaxed and he explained everything
to my mother about the surgery,

now my parents are discussing how they're going to get the surgery paid for,
i just cant wait 'till this is over.

Good luck mate I think from the looks of it you'll get a good result. I suffered  some 30 years with it before doing something about it. In a way youre lucky. I think it's true to say plastic surgery was in its infancy when I was 17. The only people that had it had been in a car crash or lived in hollywood. It certainly wasn't something a 'working class' person could have had  and I hate to think what techniques would be used and the results back then. So really you're living in great times for dealing with this condition. Be postive and I wish you all the best with your op and looking forward to seeing some post op pics.
