High hormonal activity during puberty or even a little later can cause excess oil (sebum) production by sebaceous glands and a bacteria residing on the surface of human skin, Propionibacterium acnes.

High levels of the male hormone, testosterone, somehow excites the oil glands of skin, called sebaceous glands, to produce more amount of oily substance sebum. These sebaceous glands are situated in the middle layer of skin, the dermis, and secrete oil onto the skin.

None of which has anything to do with the activity you mentioned.

I hope that helps

If it doesn't subside try Acu-tane. It is the most effective acne medication on the market. I had severe acne for 5 years tried hundreds of medicines nothing worked. Don't try Pro-Active it has a more likely chance of making you break out than curing anything. My dermitoligist finally perscribed me acu-tane 2 years ago. It is very expensive but, if you have good insurance it should cover it. I took it for only 6 months and my severe case totally dried up flaked off and was 95% gone and it still is 2 years later. If everything else fails try it, I guarantee it will work for you. I couldn't believe what had happened the first few days of using it all of my acne started to slowly flake. The stuff is extremely strong. They have it in different miligram doses and if a low dose doesn't work you will find a dosage that works. So, if your still having a problem with acne try to get a hold of that medicine somehow. It even cured one of my close friends and he had a more severe case than I did. I am concentrating on getting surgery for my gyne within the next month. Mine is a physically painful case so I would hope insurance would cover it. Mine is mostly tissue it is all hard and puffy and always painful and throbbing. I know surgery is the only real cure so I need to get it now. The first thing I did at the start on Summer is schedule an app. with my GP. I saw him on June 13. I will see the specialist on July 19. Hope to have the surgery by August 19. This shouldn't take this long. I just can't live with this bs anymore and want this nightmare that I can't stop thinking about over. Anyways, if insurance doesn't cover it then I am taking out a loan and after I get the surgery going to get my f***ing money back from the insurance company. Good luck to you with your acne and gyne. I wish you good luck and keep acu-tane in mind it literally saved my life from years of a scared and ugly face.

I have to disagree with Hypo on part of his posts.
"None of which has anything to do with the activity you mentioned"

I think that that high levels of testosterone can be the reason for the acne, masturbation, & gyne.

Testosterone is the main sex drive hormone & the body needs an outlet, his explaination on acne ois right on, & if the "T" if too high, part of it will be converted to Estrogen E2 & you grow breasts.

Your disagreeing with what you think I said not what I said.

I am saying that such activity does not casue acne or gynecomastia.

Not that testosterone does not have an cause acne, that activity and gynecomastia- which it does.
