Well this is my first post and maybe this isn't the right section, but I just wanted to say that it's so nice to find a place (after 26 years!) that I can talk about my gyno. Just like you, this has been a major issue thats effected many aspects of my life. I've wondered about surgery for many years, but really didn't know where to turn and I was afraid to talk to anyone about it...I honestly didn't know that this effected other people and sometimes I thought maybe I was the only one, like I was a freak or something. I started working out a couple years ago and since my body is looking better, the gyno has bothered me even more than before...cause why do all that working out if I'm still gonna be ashamed of my body? Anyways, I just wanted to express my gratitude for this site and for the knowledge that it's given me and the hope that I now have that this problem can be fixed.

Yes, it can be very Emotional Living with Gynecomastia. Listen to that video and you can hear how much it can affect some. I work with many bodybuilders with gynecomastia and a common complaint is that as they build their muscles, what sits on top of their muscles gets pushed out further. This forum can provide a wealth of information about gynecomastia.

Hope this helps,

Thank you both...and yeah, I've done quite a bit of reading already before I posted and I definitely plan on having surgery. Just need to get the funds together...CAN'T WAIT!!!

If I do, however, have any questions that aren't already answered on here, I'll definitely ask your opinion. Thanks again!

Welcome.

If you have been lurking and reading along for a while then you may have already picked up on the fact that various financial arrangements can be made. Presuming that you have good credit, of course. More important is that you do not allow financial concerns be a major criteria in the selection of your surgeon.

Surgery now is quite safe and effective if done by a surgeon with the right qualifications and experience. This is a specialty though and not a job for a general surgeon.

We have all been through the same torments in one way or another, so you can feel free to speak your mind without fear. We are not freaks; Our condition, though embarrassing, is actually quite normal.

Yeah, if only I had good credit, I'd be under the knife right now! LOL I'm just gonna have to suck it up and save the cash...so it'll probably be several months before I can do it.

As far as the right surgen, that's definitely something I'll be doing more research on in the coming months...I certainly want to find someone who specializes in this area.

Anyways, thanks for the welcome...I'm sure I'll have some questions along the way.
