GYNECOMASTIA GLAND ATTACHED TO MUSCLE?

HI,DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THE GLAND WHEN REMOVED VIA INCISION ONLY SURGERY IS ATTACHED TO THE MUSCLE WALL,OR IS IT ONLY ATTACHED TO THE AREOLA?WHEN THE SURGEON REMOVES THE GLAND IS HE CUTTING NEAR THE PECTORALIS MUSCLE?WHAT ARE THE DANGERS OF DAMAGING THE MUSCLE ITSELF AND IF SO WHAT WOULD BE THE SYMPTOMS?THANKS.

The glandular tissue is usually threaded through a mound of fat and does not connect with the muscle. The gland comes together at the nipple. The gland cannot be completely removed without leaving a deformity

Properly performed gyne surgery removes both fat and gland -- it does not disturb the pectoralis (chest) muscle.  It will neither add muscle nor remove muscle -- but it will reveal the muscle that you do have.
