travelling to london

Hi,

Right, iv got my consulation booked up and now im just checking about getting the train to london.

I plan on getting a train to London Waterloo and then catching the underground to St johns wood then walking to the surgery.

Am i right in assuming that London Waterloo station has underground access for the jubilee line? so i could just get off my train and walk down to the underground?

Also iv never been on the underground before so is it best to book tickets in advance or easier to just buy when im there?
