Vests

I'm two weeks post op and was wondering how tight / snug the vest should be.

That depends upon your surgeon and what they have had the most success with.

Some surgeons want their patients to wear a vest to prevent post op swelling etc. Others don't seem to think it is necessary. With others, it depends upon the specific procedure, Sometimes yes/ sometimes no.

This is a question best asked of your surgeon.

In any case, you should always follow the surgeons post operative instructions. They will advise you based upon their past experience.

Thanks - I actually emailed them, but since it's the weekend and holiday tomorrow....I dont expect a response for a couple days.   

Delgado says to wear it for 6 weeks, but sometimes it feels really tight, but other days, it feels snug.
