swelling after 1 month on one side

Hello Doctors,

Its been a month since my surgery now and i went back to work last week. 1 day after work i notced that i had some swelling on the right side. I laid down imediatley and cooled the affected side with a coldpack. The swelling was gone the next morning and i was calm again. It was surely from working. Is this symptom normal? Or should i go to my surgeon?
