New user here with an old problem:

Guys I have been struggling with gynecomastia since middle school.
Hell maybe even late elementary.

I spend countless hours in the gym --
but still the 'puffy' look and general swollen nipples does not stop.

Is there any option other than surgery to reduce the puffy look?
I had a friend who knows much this weighs on me suggest anti-Estrogen pills...

I am willing to try ANYTHING...

I was in the same boat as you, I pumped weights as much as I could, dieted and lowered my body fat until I had a visible 6 pack butit just made my gyno more noticeable. Unfortunately no amount of exercise will reduce breast tissue, you will burn of the fat on your chest but you will be left with the gland.

Type in "Gynecomastia bodybuilding" into google images for some examples

The more you build up your chest the more visible the gland becomes because your muscle is pushing it outwards. How long have you had gyno for?? I've heard that pills can work on teenagers who have pubertal gynecomastia but aren't much use when the gyno has stopped growing.

I know your pain, but be careful. Don't fall for all the scams on the web; you know, the companies peddling all the lotions and potions.

Weight lifting will not get rid of your gyne if it's glandular tissue. The only way it can get rid of gyne is if your gyne is all fat, and lifting weights  may reduce your body fat enough to reduce fat in your chest. It sounds like you have actual breast tissue if you suffer from puffy nipples. The only way to get rid of breast tissue is surgery.

Yep, surgery is the only option for long-standing, established gyne.  Start saving for surgery, but in the meantime, compression shirts can make you look a lot better and feel more normal.

All the prior posts have nailed it -- if you are at reasonable body weight and if your gyne has been there for a while, then no amount of lifting will help.  In fact, losing weight and weight lifting may make your gyne appear more prominent!

Wearing compression garments can give you a good shape -- temporarily.  Surgery is your best option for a permanent resolution to your problem.
