Each doctor has his / her own techniques.  There are many factors that influence the quality of comfort, recovery, need for drains, protection, healing of tissues, and evolution of scars.  All of these factors can contribute to the final appearance and how tissues move.  For me the compression vest is an important component of my technique.  That is why I prefer to individually fit each patient myself with their after surgery compression.
