take off vest?

i had surgery monday morning.  is it okay for me to take off my vest for 8 hours every day while i am at work?  it's really uncomfortable at work.  i woudl wear it the rest of the day, for 16 hours.

I only had to wear a vest for 2 days, and then used a tight under armor are body armor shirt for 2-3 weeks. Im sure you need to ask your Dr. about using those shirts instead.

This is what my Dr had me wear. I used a pretty tight one.

I would wear the vest for a week and take it off only to shower.
