Just to reiterate, the band-aid idea which did help keep my nipples compressed caused a great deal of pain when removed.

I generally agree.   But I look at it this way.  I had really crooked teeth when I was a kid.  So I got braces.  My two front teeth were turning outward and I looked like a rabbit or something.  Now, my teeth are fine.  Could I have survived with the crooked teeth?  Yeah, it was not a health concern.  But is my life better with my teeth straightened out?  You bet.

Gyne is the same thing.  I see the surgery as a corrective thing, not necessarily a body acceptance issue.  Men just shouldn't have breasts.  To me, it really makes me uncomfortable in my own skin and it should be corrected.

My case is pretty mild, but I would spend that money in a heartbeat just to feel comfortable in my own skin.  Unfortunately, money is not a luxury I enjoy at the moment so I just deal with it.

Be careful of the Band-Aids.  I'v heard of some rare instances where the Tape actually left scars and the overall look of the breasts were worsened.

I'd suggest that if you are having pain or difficulty removing the tape, it is time to try something else.
