Well, I got an exact quote of I think it was £5,485 for the operation. I ran into my student overdraft and came out with 5.5k as the max I could pay and then booked the consultation. If they're charging you more for the Lipo that means I would get charged more as well which I hadn't prepared for. No way could I come up with the extra £250 w/e you said till a few months and I really wanted to book my surgery today.

Just checked the emails again and think I made a mistake with the price I told you.

The fee for male chest reduction plus lipo to flanks would be £3600 payable to Dr. Karidis to cover his fee, the anaesthetist fee, body garments, medication and all your after care (you would see Dr. Karidis after approx. 6 weeks) – plus a hospital fee of £1658 which covers your time in theatre, consumables used and your private room for the day.

This is what Dr. Karidis' assistant emailed me but that was a few months ago. Plus the £140 for the bloods and it all adds up to £5,398. Is this still correct or did they add more fees on top of this?

An okay, so I see Dr. Karidis raised his fee by 50 and the hospitals fee increased by 50 pounds as well. Should still be alright, just about.

Hi Mate,
The original quote that i received beginning of last year are as follows:

Karidis fee:
£2750 + £800 for lipo = £3550

Hospital fee:
£1483
total would have been: £5033

The price i got this year is:
Karidis fee:
£2750 + £800 for lipo = £3550

Hospital fee:
£1708
total £5258

So i think you'll be fine mate...I think you'll be paying £50 extra..

Oh I was assuming we were both quoted the old hospital fees since my first consultation was last year as well. My bad, thanks mate.

Why don't you get your bloods at at your GP? Will save you £140

I'm trying to hide this from everyone and my GP is a friend of dad so I know he'll spill it. I might look for a Phlebtomist to save some money though but it's be so much simpler to just get it done and dusted.

Thanks man, you too. I didn't really want to make a thread and hype the surgery up and if something went wrong end up disappointed but I'll make one as soon as the surgery is done. Let me know how it goes for you.

Oh btw did they tell you what other dates they had available for the surgery? I'm assuming I'll only be able to get it after 15th of March now.

so there was nothing between 15th march and mid april? that does not sound good for me

i have already booked time off work in early may, which is the only realistic time i can get this done in secret, thinking choosing the date(give or take a few days) would be a given considering it is private.

Yeah sorry mate the next date they had was 21st April or so I think though Nicola is gonna try fit me in near the start of March, she had to sort a few things out with Karidis.

It went good zm thanks, though I was quite ill so didn't really talk much and wanted to get it over with asap. Only problem is I have to get the tests done elsewhere because I had to wait a while to get it done there so I decided to leave and try my luck elsewhere. Not sure what I'm gonna do for them btw because telling my GP I'm getting this done it out of the question.

Btw can you post the blood tests they asked you to get done? I can't find that sheet she gave me.
