supposed to hurt? I have like a hard lump in my left breast, it sometimes pulsates. On a scale from one to ten on a pain scale it would be a 3. I'm 21 by the way, and the symptoms started a month ago after I started working out.

The breast area has a rather rich blood supply in some cases. The fact that you are able to feel a pulse there is not cause for alarm.

The same cannot be said of pain. Pain in that area could mean there is something amiss. It could be a pulled pectoral muscle if the injury is just behind the breast area. but it could be a clue of things more sinister. You would be smart to get this checked out.

I wen't to my GP, and he felt around and said it was gynecomastia. He said if the problem persisted to get an ultrasound in 3 months.

There are two types of tissue in the male breast. Adipose tissue (fat) and glandular tissue ( breast) are present to varying degrees in each individual.
Glandular tissue is firm and often painful at rest and with contact.
