My wife always says, "when life hands you lemons you make lemon aid"!

It is also said that God never gives you more then you can handle, so one must never worry as God is in control and we must leave all the consequence's to him. That is great because life does hand out plenty of lemons and I do like lemon aid and when we bought the new refrigerator I hooked up the ice maker too.

I had posted not to long ago that I would be looking at another surgery. My left hip needs to be replaced, and the injection that I got showed that was a good diagnosis, as that part of my body was pain free for a little while! That was the best feeling I had in a long time to have a area in one part of my body almost pain free for most of the day!!!!!!!!!!!!

Big problem hit us though! My wife lost her job, and we lost our insurance! I know that there are a lot of people here on the forum without insurance, and I am not whinning just venting. My co-pays for all my meds are over $300.00 a month when I have insurance.

I have applied for my part B Medicare and working on part D, as I already had my part A being on disability that was automatically givin to me. I have also applied for my veteran benefits to see if I could use to VA hospital.

I do trust that my wife will get a new job soon as she is a accountant but one must be prepared, to cover for the long haul just In case, and I need a new hip as the pain has come back!

I have drastically changed my eating habbits so that I can cut way back on my insulin use and hopefully that will even help lose even more weight!

So much for the bad, in with the good!

As I have said in other post, I have the third grandchild on the way and this one this due next month. My children were raised in a very Christian manor so my daughter felt very guilty that she was not married! Yesterday was the two and a half year anniversary for her and her boy freind being together so she wanted just a simple wedding in the back yard. So we held the wedding yesterday 7/18/2012.

We only had a few days to get ready but still wanted to make it as special as possible for them. My wife took a old wedding dress that the girls played with as kids and modified it to fit our daughter, now 8+ months pregnant and I not only got to walk her down the isle but got to officiate the wedding as I'm also an ordained minister.

Thank you my freind! I think my knees were a blessing, however, boob jobs to make them bigger are vanity and unnessisary and stupid!

That is my option, and we have the right to our options! After having big boobs I have no idea way anyone would want them, and my oldest daughter agrees as she has the same blessing or problem, depending on how one feels about them.

Hope all is going well with you!

There is a time for every season, a time to live and a time to die and yesterday was a time to say good bye to Mom!

Mom had been having mini strokes and about 4 large strokes and at least 2 heart attacks since a year ago last Febuary. The doctors gave her six months to a year to live.

Yesterday morning my sister text me and ask if I could come up to Mom and Dads to be with her as they live about an hour and a half away. I did of course go, arrived by 9:30 Mom asked where Debbie was I explained she was with our daughter and she was having concerns and had a doctor appointment as she is due to deliver any day now and mom said good, Debbie should be with her.

Those where her last words. My sister her daughters and I took turns holding Mom and she fought a hard fight. My older brother is out of town on vocation but once my younger brother arrived, she started to let go.

I asked Dad, at around 4:25 if he would like to sit with her as she was about to leave us, and he said no, I am OK, I am ready, and at 4:35 she passed.

08/13/2012 Louise K at the age of 78 left this world after much suffering and according to my faith has joined many that have left before us includeing my son whom left us at the age of six in 1988, for a much better place then what we left behind.

God Bless you Mom, and may God Bless each and every reader of this post!

My heart goes out to you and your family Hammer. its never easy to lose someone we care deeply for, but it seems like you've got a great support network around to help out.

You've been through a lot over these past few years and have managed to stay optimistic and positive. awesome, you and your story are an inspiration.

THERE IS A SEASON FOR EVERYTHING, A TIME TO DIE AND A TIME TO BE BORN AND A TIME TO HEAL!

On this forum a time to heal, I beleave most of our members can relate to that! If they are healing from the surgery from the removal of their gyne, or from the hurt of ridicule, or from some other kind of hurt everyone can relate to " time to heal".

On the 13th it was a month ago that mom died, and on the 23rd one month ago my third grandson was born. One sad and happy event in our families life. For our daughter the pregnancy was a easy one, with no morning sickness, or complications and a very good delivery.

It was after that, that the trouble started! She got two infections! One one the inside, and one on her bottom!
The one on the inside could cause her not to ever have kids again if she does not beat it in good time, and the other made her swell up and rip out her stitches the were need as she tore in three places from the baby being almost 10lbs. She was back in the hospital on big doses of antibiotics and now  back out on oral antibiotic and looking like thing are improving but not totaling over it!

With this set back she decide to cancel a few classes this semester, and not graduate in Dec and go spring semester and graduate then. The good part of that is she only needs a couple other classes and she can have a double major then! She is a animal science major.

So, I for one beleave in the power of prayer, and I would like to ask those that do likewise to include my daughter in their prayer for a full recovery.

Thank you and God Bless!
