I know sun exposure(and most likely tanning salons fall into this category) isn't good for the scars after surgery but would it be a problem if I decided to try and get some color before the surgery?

Not a doc, but 99% sure that's not a good idea. If you're in need of color that bad just go get some tanning lotion from like target. My wife has some and I've actually used it a few times and it works great.. If you're interested I'll go get the name/brand and letcha know!

be careful you can get skin cancer from that stuff plus it can't be good for your scars. If you really want a tan try to get a natural one at the beach or somethin.

I know it's not good for the scars. But that's why I said beforehand, before theres any scars. And I know it's bad for you but I rarely ever go.

Sorry bro, just saw this! It's called 'Sublime Bronze' made by L'Oreal. Take a shower, apply then hit the sack. It leaves a little glitter residue for the first few hours, so just wake up and shower again to be sure. It's nothing crazy, but if its on your face it can be noticeable. Stuff works, and looks natural.

Tried posting the link but was unable to. You can buy it at Target.
