Hello all..

Hope this finds you all in good health, minus the gyno for some :)

Anyways, Ive got my blood results done and I'm still 5% of the 'normal' oestrogen range.

Before, 3 months ago I was 25% of this target and 30kg heavier. My weight is nearly within the normal range (-10kg).

Do you think this is a cause for concern as I have a consultation with Dr. Karidis booked?

Do you think I should bother going before sorting out my estrogen levels?

My doctor seems to think that my weight has upped these levels?

Can anyone shed any light in regard to this matter?

With Regards

There was a guy on here a few years back called Hypo-is-here. He can probably provide the best advice. I don't think he's on here anymore, but you could try PM'ing him and see if you get a response.

Are you seeing a normal GP? Have you been referred to an endocrinologist? What are your doctors plans to sort out your oestrogen levels?

Karidis will definitely sort your gyne out, but even post op when you're gyne free (and happy), it is stil a good idea to have your hormones levels in check for various health reasons. From memory, you're a young lad -  high oestrogen can mess with your libido and when you're gyne free you'll want start making up for lost time ;)

Hi m8,

the % which you have quoted as being outside the normal range; are they outside on the high end or low end? I assumed you meant high and therefore that your oestrogen measure had dropped to 5% above the upper norm in accordance with your weight loss - this would make sense as fat cells play important roles in eostrogen production and therefore fat loss may be related to lowered oestrogen production. However, you saying 'my doctor seems to think that my weight has upped these levels' like you mean the oestrogen has increased confused me a little
