First of all wanted to say , what a great site this is and thank you to everyone who have shared their experiences.

I'm a 28 Year old male
5'11
12.5 stone

I have been suffering from GYNE for about two years now. Im pretty sure that the cause of this was taking testosterone supplements and not taking the necessary PCT after my cycles. I eventually built up enough courage to see the doctor who recognized that I had a problem but felt it was minimal and that a specialist at the local hospital will be able to help me. I went and saw the specialist who was a fucking con looking back at things. He done an ultra sound and measured my hormonal levels. He said that results show their is nothing wrong and that he has seen worse GYNE than mine. He suggested I take Tamoxifin 10mg, for three months, this did not do much.

I used to train quite regularly and lift decent however my chest was putting me off the gym. My body fat from 15% went to about 25 % and hence having a positive affect on my chest but nowhere else. Not being happy about my puffy nipples , I decided to lift weight again but stay lean. I was gunning for a six pack. I lost a lot of weight and decide to do some research on having surgery on my chest. Karidis was the name I kept on hearing and decided to go for a consultation with him in November. He said it was mainly gland and that he could sort it out.

I again plucked up enough courage and booked for May. I will try and post a few pre op pics . I was meant to post this up last month but did not want to think about surgery too much

Here a few pre op pics..cudnt upload fm my iphone so uploading fm my Blackberry.

You can't really tell how severe it looks but this will maybe give you an indication.  I took these pics the day before the surgery and but the worst thing is that my chest probably looks the best it has done over the last two years since I have had the gyne.  I couldn't deal with having some good days and some bad and not being able to wear tight tight tops. Sounds vain, I know but you only live once.

I had surgery on the 10th of May with Alex Karidis.

Hey man this may sound like a stupid question but did you get lipo? Clearly you've got a pretty damn low body fat % but it just seems that all surgeons recommend lipo no matter what your situation?

Yeah I did, I did ask Karidis weather it was necessary or not and he said it was. This was according to him , to keep the symmetry and evenness on my chest. Looking back I had 17grams of gland removed from one side and 12 on the other. So he may of had to balance it out and carry out lipo because of this.  TBH, the pictures I put up does not show the real extent of gyne I had although I appreciate some people have far worse. My issue was more gland related then fat related although there was a little bit of fat involved with my chest. One major issue for me in regards to having surgery was that my nipples would point downwards if I was to bend down , eg doing press ups or banging my mrs missionary style.

Surgery is bearable but by no means a breeze. Im four days post op. I just want to get back to the gym and play football although im going to try and not think about physical activity till June. If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask and I will try my best answering them. This site helped me immensely, I knew what to expect from when I first entered the hospital so many thanks people!!!

Hi ashley, just wondering what aftercare is involved with Karidis?

I was considering going to Poland for surgery, but what put me off is they only wanted me to stay one day after surgery before going home, I thought that if anything went wrong I'd be screwed.

Hello Dazzo

There was not that much aftercare involved. I think the operation itself is not that complex and only lasts for about an hour. I was the second person to go in for surgery, I was in theatre at 9:30am and remember waking up at about 12:30 pm. The nurse then came in and measured my blood pressure and gave me lunch. She then again took my blood pressure on a few occasions during the day. I finally spoke to another another nurse called Ami, who gave me another compression vest, arnica tablets and some other stuff. I ended up leaving the hospital on the same day at about 5pm.

I have to say the staff were very good and professional at all times. I was lucky I had my girlfriend with me, who held my bag and booked a taxi although I could of done this whole thing on my own you feel safer that someone is there with you. I felt really light headed on the way home and it didn't help that the taxi driver was ragging the car.  I then stayed at my girlfriends house for four days because I had kept the surgery a secret from my parents. I know its cheaper getting surgery done abroad but for me it would be a big ask. Better the devil you know. I paid £4400 in total.
