The guys on this site share your pain. I've read from this site that if you're young, you can lose your gyne as you get older. The crappy thing with that is you don't know if you're going to lose it and you don't know when you're going to lose it. You don't want this problem for another minute longer.
You're at the age where your peers can be awfully cruel if they find out your deepest secret (I think at any age they can be cruel). You're going to have to be strong if your secret is found out.
As for a solution. You're on the right track wanting to tell your parents. If you were older, I would say keep it a secret but at 14, you need your parents permission to do just about anything. If you do get the operation, you'll need their permission and probably their presense on surgery day. I know this is tough but tell them and try to explain how this is effecting you mentally. Some parents have been known to say that this is all in your head so it might be up to you to "sell" them on your feelings.
If everything goes as planned, a doctor's visit will be the next move and from there, you'll find your fate. In the surgery section on this board, a 12 year old just got the operation last week and it's because he went to his mom and told her how this was affecting him. Actually, she's the one who was posting to this site on his behalf. Good luck.
