I put those plasters on yesterday.  The nurse said leave em for seven days unless they fall off as the less you mess with them, less chance of infection.  But elsewhere I seen some one say change em every two days?

Hows the armpit area feeling, is that more or less painful then the nipple area?

Thanks Dex mate! ;)  Armpit pain is a zero this morning sjwsjw, the only discomfort really, is the ridges of the vest on my shoulders here and there..so not actual pain as such.  I mean, I'm tender if I press my flank/rib area and I'm beginning to itch a bit under the vest, but I did take 2 painkillers this morning, more for my headache than owt else.

Have had a killer headache for a few days, guess I never got off the GA as well as I'd thought.  Slept better last night but was still up early, can't lie in very well in these vests ;)

Quick Head's Up

Day - 4 Still not sleeping right(03:12 am as I write this) but grabbing it when I can.  Ditched the painkillers now as I don't think this warrants them, just on ibuprofen for the headaches.  A bit tender here and there but nothing I can't live with, still eating plenty of fresh pineapple and drinking juice, plenty of water, no caffeine.  Going to start light walks tomorrow, getting a bit stir crazy ;)  Chests looks similar to day 3 pics so will get some more up when the bruising subsides or I remove the plasters, whichever comes soonest.

Cheers mate, likewise man ;)  All the best for everyone on this journey I say! Seems once you're over the other side we have something pretty unique in common now though huh?  I'm pretty bruised so I guess I had a fair bit of lipo done, still looks weird, being devoid of fat in that area.  Just waiting on when I can take my plasters off and see how my nipples are doing.

6 Days Post OP - Things look much the same but feel a lot better.  Started to itch a lot now and again, guess it's the bruising/healing changing under the garment.  Did quite a bit of walking yesterday, felt ok but maybe did too much as chest was throbbing a little on the night but just took some meds, which I am not reliant on now, been taking them more for wisdom toothache than owt else ;)

Mobility improved but still find myself over reaching by mistake, your chest will let you know how far is , far enough.  Changing garments every two days as I find it the sweet spot, first day it's well tight then eases off for a day, dunno if I could handle a clean tight one everyday, but maybe that would provide better support?

The mad itching can sometimes be alleviated through the garment by scratching, this sometimes results in a little pain and burning though, think it's on the places were fat was taken away.  On my pic with flash, you can see the bruising on the flank better, it gets well itchy there!  I had a kind of web of fat going round from the gland area under my pit, just a slight one but Karidis seen it right away and marked it up.  So it's not just the gland he's interested in, it's how to achieve a good look for you.

Chest feels weak as piss though, I expect my pectorals have been frightened off by the trauma it's like I don't have the strength to tense them or they just won't tense, slowly they are getting stronger though.  One more day and I can take the plasters off, had to replace an armpit one earlier but on the whole, they have fared pretty well in my opinion.

My right nipple pops up every now and again when I shower so maybe it has some feeling, but the left seems to be totally flat and lifeless underneath, both are also extremely numb, the whole areola area in fact.  Have some unevenness when I take the vest off but it's all so slight and I'm still only 6 days post but feeling a lot better, psychologically too, which I think is the most important part.

Quick head's up - 7 days post op.

Sleeping better now, getting around 6hrs as opposed to 4-4.5 as before.  My bladder/urine is back to normal ha pretty crazy that when I first witnessed it.  Had headaches for a few days, whether it was the meds or the GA, dunno but they shifted a couple of days ago.  Just have like weird pulsing pains going on all over chest, had no meds today at all just arnica.  Hard areas starting to appear these are also very itchy, I assume this is the beginning of the scar tissue.  On the whole though, can't complain.  Plasters off tomorrow so will post a new pic or two.

8 days Post Op - Getting well used to this now.  Must say, not having to worry about returning to work anytime soon is a massive help.  Anyhoo, I digress.  Peeled one of my pit plasters off last night, just to see what was happening, kinda like a small raised scab that fell off the next morning to reveal a nicely sealed up pink scar.

Went out for a walk this morning, was warmer than I expected but had a clean vest on radiator so no biggy.  Had lunch , showered but left the plasters on till afterwards.  The remaining armpit one came off to reveal a similar story.  On to the nipples....drumroll.........Deep breath,... sweet!!....Nipple was still under there ;)  And on the other side too, result so far.

Left my vest off for a good half an hour or maybe more while I checked it out.  My chest is starting to get a little lumpy here and there and the main bit where I am bruised a lot in the center, well that started to swell up a little so I put the vest back on.  I have to admit, I couldn't even see an incision site on my areolas.

Feels loads better now the plasters are off, they are a bit of a nuisance with irritation, skin is still a bit red but should fade in no time. think it's the gluey latex stuff they use to bond them to skin with.  Just getting pulsing pain in random spots, some hardish areas near my flank but not pressing much.  Used some arnica cream on bruised areas today, see if it works.

You can see, on my left, your right..the nipple has some swelling and unevenness, the other one is similar and indeed they make all kinds of weird shapes when I try to tense up.  Nipples haven't even been getting proper compression due to being under the dressing so will be interesting to see how they develop over the coming week.

All very wrinkly and all over the shop at this juncture but it's the next stage I guess, it'll be massage for me in a week or two so looking forward to see how that affects the overall look.
