Smoked half a cigar 3 days post OP without thinking

Hey, just had a surgery on tuesday feilding, and today i smoked half a cigar, stopped half way through without realizing that it could have some effect on the healing of my chest.


WIll this mess with the healing process of my chest?

Smoking is not optimal during the healing process. I believe it constricts capillaries causing a slow down of nutrient/waste exchange. That being said , I don't think the warning applies to a one half of a cigar. I would assume the concern relates to chronic smokers, who may need/want to smoke their usual pack a day during recovery.


My personal favorite is brazilia brand. However, my budget doesn't allow for the occasional $6-10 tobacco indulgence, so I settle for my father brand during family visit ( rocky patels).
