How do you manage to not go insane during your recovery from surgery?

Being a person that has had several surgeries and live with disabilities, the best advise I can tell you is you must enjoy your own company!

Now is the time to read the book you always thought that you would.

Look into a hobby that takes a lot of reading. May I suggest Ham radio? as that will require a ton of study, for most people! With a Ham radio lic you can meet people all over the world without leaving home. I like talking to people in all the countries I went to when I was in the Navy.

Grab the laptop or iPad and google any word that comes into your head! You might me surprise where that leads you.

These are a few this that I do, hope this helps!

If youre a weight trainer every few months you should take 2-3 weeks off. This allows your body to fully repair stressed tissues including the central nervous system. So consider your post op an opportunity to repair.

Focus on eating well, read up on latest workout ideas and tips, plan your return approach to workouts, buy some new workout clothes, prep work etc...
