Hi,

I just had my surgery yesterday for my unilateral case. I was suposed to have the gland excision through the aerola and lipo from under the armpit.

When I woke up, the doctor told me that she only did liposuction ?? I ask her why, since we had a signed contract detailing the procedure and she told me that she ''forgot'' that she had some kind of basket insert to use with the lipo that can take away the gland.

Can I please have your input? I feel that it is extremly not proffesional. She was behind schedule and I'm wondering if she actually cut corners !!

Have you heard of the insert and have any feedbacks about it?

Thanks

There are various cutting cannulas for liposuction, which may be effective in removing all of the tissue that needs to be removed.  Not knowing what her device is, it's tough to comment on the technique or anticipated results.  You may just have to wait to see how things went.  How does it look so far?

Let me not comment on the first part of your question but give you some advice.Wait until the garment is removed and see what you look like, there should still be a fair amount of swelling so you might not get an accurate picture of the final result. Swelling tends to obscure glandular tissue ,meaning the result with swelling looks better than the result without the swelling.

your surgeon has great controll of what she or he can perform.  All plastic surgeons are artist and may be able to achieve deferent outcomes.  I would wait until you get a feeling of your outcome and then ask the questions if you have issues.  Trust me, the best have issues with patients and our goalis to resolve them .
