hi im not new to the forum , this is just another account i forgot my previous one.

i developed gyne at around mid 16's from what i can remember trying to hide it and now 18 and a bit its improved from what it is what but i feel this is the final result and it will not subside without the use of surgery.

I have some pictures they do not seem bad to most due to the fact i have an average build with what appears uneven nipples and one breast larger than the other. I understand and appreciate those who suffer from extreme cases so plese dont respond with there are those who are worse off.

They are usally extremely overweight i am not so an average body with some lumps sticking out of 90% of t shirts isnt enjoyable.

Theres not a day that goes by where i have to tug my shirt to prevent them protruding even further. At times i feel its physologically in my head but i see guys my age who have the ideal chest i want to achieve but do not have the desire to workout because if the fat diminishes then the glandular tissue will make it look even worse.

You do have some big nipples, but all hope is not lost! There are some great doctors that can do out standing work to make things disappear!

I don't know how your insurance and family situation is, but that would be a good place to start if you have not. Some people are able to get insurance to cover this others are not. We  also have people here that can give some great advice and you not being new may already know that.

I wish you the best of luck it getting things taken care of!

It is NEVER to late. All hope is not lost, like the person above me said there are plenty of doctors that can make anything disappear.

That conical shape sure looks like gyne to me...at least psuedogynecomastia.

With all due respect to Tings, he looks to be somewhat out of shape. At least he does not appear to have an athletic build. I am always a little perplexed by out-of-shape and/or overweight guys who seem disturbed by the shape of their chests. Especially with surgery being such a potentially expensive option, it would seem to me that doing some exercise first, which really doesn't have to cost anything necessarily, would be a good...and logical place to start.

That's certainly what I did. I did my best via diet/exercise to reduce my fatty pecs and it was, I am afraid, to no avail. Having tried that, and being otherwise in decent/above-average shape, I knew what I had to do.

So, try getting into better shape, which is of ultimate benefit anyway. If that conical shape remains, you will know it's at least pseudogynecomastia (which is pretty much just fat with no significant glandular issues) and that surgery is what you will need to seek.

Best of luck!!

I am sympathetic 100% with you, man.

Check this product out, it's called 'diet aid of questionable value'. It is a herbal supplement designed specifically for treating gynecomastia. Work's by targeting & removing the fat cells deposited around the nipple region. They actually give you a money back guarantee if your un-satisfied with the results!

[This stuff has been totally an answer to prayer for myself!!]

Wish you all the best!!

i agree with him...
its just these people marketing on people's emotions...
trust me...i thought of trying everything out there but stuck to workouts....the research over the years meanwhile made me thank the almighty for keeping me away...
those products could amplify the magnitude of your problem....they certainly won't cure it

Start running and run for a month -- no gaps! Its summer now so you do NOT have any excuse. Take a picture now and weigh yourself. Then do the same after a month. No junk food. Lemon with hot water in the morning before breakfast 4 times a week. Eat plenty of fruits and veggies and lots of water. No Alcohol.

Good Luck! :)

I don't think Tings is out of shape. And if it is glandular tissue, fat loss won't reduce the problem

Many people don't seem to realise that having gyno can make body recomposition a very disheartening journey; no matter how well the rest of your body responds to training and diet, the appearance of the chest may not improve that much, possibly looking more severe on account of the increasing leanness of the rest of the body relative to the lingering tissue on the chest. It's an effect which can kill your motivation and derail your efforts.

I would recommend Tings to see a doctor, a plastic surgeon specialising in the procedure, who would be able to identify for sure whether the problem is pseudogyno or actual gyno.

^ And I don't want my above response to be misconstrued as excusing Tings from trying to get in better shape prior to having or even considering surgery; it is almost always a good idea to improve health, especially prior to a surgery. But I find the recommendation offered frequently for people with gyno to get to high levels of leanness before even thinking about surgery as unrealistic and could not be worth the time and effort, since you could find yourself with the same if not more noticeable gyno at the end.

Of course, it could very well be that getting down to a lower body fat % would actually improve his appearance to a point where he could live with the gyno; it could mostly be fat and not glandular. But the proportion of fat to gland can be identified by a competent doctor at an initial consultation, and then Tings can take that information and decide from there.

Thanks for the responses guys. I have been wanting to go to the Gym for the past year but i cannot pluck the courage to workout and spend so much effort when the possible tissue still remains i would like a dr to respond on what , they personally think it is. To add im 6 ft 2 , 13 st. Bodyfat is probably around 16-20%. If anything the possible tissue is underneath the nipple not really any other place.

I do often get slight burning sensations and very minor reducidge.

I would have to agree with what Jacobi has said once again! As someone that has lived with gynecomastia all my life you will need surgery, but has he also said staying in shape is a good thing!

Take it from someone who use to to be in great shape but due to illness can no longer do much. Do what ever you can to take care of yourself to stay healthy, because in the end if you have your health life can be a lot more fun!
