Easiest surgery ever

...Well technically it's the only surgery I've ever had.  BUT STILL - no sweat.

I had my gyne surgery yesterday afternoon.  It was lipo only, and the surgeon ended up taking about about 350cc of fat.
  I showed up around noon.  Reception showed me to the change room where there was a hospital gown, booties, hair net and housecoat waiting for me.  I change up and they take me to the examination room.  The surgeon comes in and takes a look at my chest; marking up the areas he's going to target and showing where the incisions will be. He leaves and a nurse escorts me into the operating room.  I have a brief chat with the nurses, they take some photos and I lay down on the operating table.  They put a curtain over my neck (so that I won't see the procedure) and proceed to get everything ready.
  The procedure was done with UAL (ultrasonic assisted liposuction) under local anesthetic.  I am glad a went with local because I found the whole procedure very interesting.
  First they inject about a cup of fluid into each breast.  The fluid is a mixture of water and anesthetic, so as they inject it the breasts become numb.  It is a very weird feeling.  You can feel all of this stuff being pumped into your chest.  It didn't hurt at all, it was just sort of weird.  Like your chest is being pumped full of nickelodeon gack.
  Next is the weirdest part.  When the ultrasonic vaser is going inside of you you can hear it.  It is a really high pitched noise that just appears in your ears as a result of this thing spinning around inside your chest.  Again, minimal discomfort.
  Finally they sucked all of the liquified fat out of there and sewed me back up.

  When they took away the curtain so I could see my new chest for the first time - flat.as.a.pancake.  I am incredibly happy.  It was the first time in years I could look down at my chest and not see these 70s boob - madonna breasts things staring back up at me.

I am keeping in mind that the road to recovery is long.  The surgeon was good to show me that jar with all of the extracted fat so that in a months time, when my chest is swollen and I'm questioning whether I've made a mistake I can just think back to that jar full of fat and know that that isn't in me anymore, and it's just swelling.

The pain is absolutely minimal if anything.  It has been about 34hrs since I got out of surgery, and it just feels like I went really hard on chest exercises at the gym and then got punched in the chest a couple of times.  Nothing bad at all.

Anyway if you are considering surgery I say go for it!  My experience was absolutely fantastic.  It was performed by Dr. Richard Bendor-Samuel in Halifax, Canada, and he did an absolutely fabulous job.

Very happy to hear it went well. I wish you a speedy recovery.  I'm just north of you in New Brunswick, and awaiting my appt date.  I hope to have as good an outcome as yours.

Will do.  The doctor took some before pictures.  When I go in for follow-up I will see if I can snag a copy of them.

It's day three now and I feel completely fine.  My chest just feels like I had a good workout, and I have full unrestricted arm movement.  I could have gone back to work on day one, the pain was so minimal.

Good luck with your surgery srnd2012.  The feeling when it is all done is simply euphoric.

I agree the operation is very simple and no problems what do ever.


The worrying part is choosing an experienced surgeon. That is the hardest part. I picked mine after first consultation as he knew what he was talking about. I feel mine went well, 5 weeks and counting and today I benched 60kg on my chest without any pain or discomfort.

you had yours the day after mine I'm surprised as to how little pain I've been in. Haven't taken pain killers since the day after surgery and even then didn't feel totally necessary. I had lypo and excision for puffy nipples.

Mind sharing before and after photos? Vaser only with no incisions?
