update:

still very sore...

felt like i was really hungover all day yesterday, and i puked at night several times..

chest hurts with every vibration/step i take still...

doc's giving me two weeks until i can take this ace bandage off around my chest..


i hope to feel better soon...at least today i dont feel naseuous..playing madden all day lol...

Hey wats up man.

I'm about 1 day post-op too.  Which doctor you go to?

I'm really sore too.  That binder is ridiculously tight, and I think my ribs are swollen or something.

Anyway, I'll keep you updated too.  Kinda hard to walk straight, but 3 weeks from now I'll have everything off and can starting workin out again.

Just hang in there fellas.  My first two weeks sucked bc of the discomfort.  After 6 days I took my vest off, and every step I took hurt like a bitch.

Just keep thinking about what comes after recovery

i took my vest off yesterday (day 2 post op) and i couldnt even notice a difference!  it looked the same as it did before surgery......


possibly due to blood/etc filling in the opening?  who knows, still sore........told my friends i had a cyst on my chest, they were weirded out when they came to see me

Day 3 for me too.

I've been taking Tylenol and Arnica off and on and it seems to be working.  Took a shower today, was suprised how little it hurt.  Chest was mostly flat, except the area around my nips seemed a bit swollen.  Still a little bruised, but needless to say I'm happy so far.

The thing that sucks is that this binder is retarded.  I can't get to it b/c it's velcroed from the back.  My mom has been helping me out putting it on and taking it off.

Hopefully when I go back to college in a few weeks I'll be able to take it on and off whenever  I need to.

I really hope this shit is permanent, b/c I woulnd't want the gyno to grow back like I've heard happen before...

i dont think it grows back if your hormones are where they should be....mine are.

day 4
but yeah, my chest looks weird, like the upper chest is fine but the lower chest looks all fatty still...im guessing its some hematoma/bleeding, like the doc said.

does anyone know if its just swelling or should i get it checked out?

other than that im fine...and yes the first shower felt weird, i felt like i needed that vest for the life of me, like my chest would sag without it haha

I think my hormones are fine.  I mean, something would have come up in all the blood tests I've had in the past right?

Anyway, taking a shower for me is great b/c my chest gets itchy and its probably not a good idea to scratch.

Swelling is pretty minimal, which is good, but the binder is just so annoying.  I can't get it on or off without help from my mom.  I think I'm gonna have to ask my doc for a different one, b/c this is way too much of a pain in the ass.

Less pain today than yesterday.  I've been taking Tylenol and Arnica.  Been constipated and shit, so that sucks, but I've been taking stuff for that, so all's good.

no way dude, same here! haha, ive been constipated, thinking there's something wrong with me.  i took this laxative stuff at 4 in the afternoon yesterday, and at midnight i had the most explosive s...well, you get the idea.   glad im not in in a boat by myself....do you know why we get constipated?  i was thinking the major stress surgery puts on the body maybe?

iono, well anyway its day 5, and the swelling has gone down.

my chest looks weird though, im hoping maybe its just some swelling/hematoma and will go away by itself....any clue?

It could be swelling, bruising, or maybe you need some sorta draining...


I took Ex-lax last night -- nothing.  The day before that I use some glyceron supposatory (you stick it up your ass), and I had a huge shit an hour later.  

If you been takin pain meds...thats why you're constipated.  

Anyway, what kind of vest/binder you wearing?  Caz I think I'm gonna have to replace mine.  It's impossible to get on and off myself, and it protrudes out kinda from under a shirt, so it's sortof noticeable...
