Compression garments for hot city (Chennai)

Friends,

I am planning to have my surgery during jan 2014. I'm preparing myself financially and mentally. Have few doubts regarding compression garments.

what material are the compression garments.
The main reason for asking this is whether my friends find out i am wearing them when they accidentally touch my body. Will they feel i am wearing something different ?

Is it possible to wear that in chennai where the temp. will always be more than 30 deg. Usually i sweat a lot.

The material varies but a mixture of Spandex/Cotton is probably common. That is a good mix as the cotton will wick your perspiration and actually make you cooler by evaporation in a way similar to a snug tee shirt.
