Will gynecomastia gland of any size go away (puberty)

A lot of people say that gynecomastia caused by puberty will most likely go away after a few years.
Is this the case for gland any size?

If it has not after a few years, then it will not depending on your age. It will most likely require surgery then.

In the case of profoundly enlarged breasts, probably not. Even so, surgery should be deferred until there is reasonable certainty that the breasts have stabilized to minimize the chances of regrowth. Two years without significant change is usually required.

Most times, pubertal gynecomastia will diminish or disappear.  But any gyne that remains stable for two years or more has a diminished chance of spontaneously disappearing.

Surgery to remove the gyne is elective -- it can be done at any time.  Therefore, there is absolutely no rush to perform surgery and one can wait as long as needed to decide.  Unfortunately, there are many adolescents who are in this situation and who are reassured (wrongly so) by their doctors that if they wait til they are 18 it will magically disappear.  And they spend their entire teenage years waiting in vain for it to disappear.
