Ok, like I said before Im having some breathing issues with the vest. I went on the site and it had the chest size recommendations. For the large size you should have a size 40 to 44 chest. I have a size 40 chest which is pretty bad I know. I have 2 large vest. But im concerned if If I get the XL, it wont have as much compression:(

I'm sure it will compress.  If not, the worst that would happen is that you exchange it for another size.
