can anyone recommend anyone else other than Karidis and Levick? This site seems like a great resource but pretty much advertises those two surgeons above and nobody else. There has to be plenty more people who perform to a good standard?

Thanks!

Is that all you want is "good standards"?

If you don't get someone with gynecomastia surgery experience you could end up wishing you kept the breast instead of having the surgery! This is no time or place to look for the best cost, you can buy the generic brand in the grocery store!

This forum is full of unhappy guys that had surgery and need to have revision surgery not just once but twice.

Thanks for the reply. With some simple google searching, it seems there are quite a few surgeries with gyno experience and before/after pictures. This forum is such a big and great resource so I'm finding it hard that in the whole of the UK only two names predominately come up. Usually, as with most things in life, the most promoted get lots of sales so they can increase their prices. I wouldn't go NHS so taking the private plunge so I would hope there to be more than 2 recommendations in the whole country! :)

A lot of the forum members go Poland from the UK to a couple of the doctors that are also spoke of a lot here as well and a bit less costly.

I'd second Poland.

Great option at about 40% of the UK cost  :)

This a good point. To be honest, I just came on here, saw two names with glowing reviews and wham 4k later I've just had the surgery after minimal research. I suspect many others have done the same. I dont have regrets as such (not yet anyway), but my research could have been more thorough. If you do decide to go ahead with a surgeon other than Mr Levick/Dr. Karidis do let us know so others can be aware if there are good experienced surgeons out there.

At the same time, dont let costs dictate your decision. This isnt shopping for washing powder at your local supermarket, it's a one-off lifetime investment for your body and if it doesnt go well you could potentially end up with one of the more expensive ones anyway for corrective surgery, which would increase your total costs significantly. So if it means waiting a little longer but saving up for the best surgeon, then perhaps that would be the more prudent choice.

As the other poster mentioned above, make sure to go for both competence and experience.

Thanks for the support guys.

Yes, AchillesUK, some wise words. It's hard finding out about others and you're right, it is about finding competence too. I just feel like these two are almost forum sponsors! I might see Karidis as he is close, even though he charges for revisions if he does screw up.

Most people here are not millionaires so cost is a factor when you read into it. After much thinking and reading, i'm not looking at poland.
For the price of seeing the best in Poland, you can have gyno done, liposuction for the abs and it's still works out cheaper to fly back on a weekend if anything goes wrong PLUS you have a massive saving. All I have to do is now search through the best surgeons in Poland!

The journey continues..

Go to Dr Clark at -- in Poland if you go down that route. You won't regret it :-)

Youd be better off going with an NHS/BMI surgeon than a polish one, seriously weight up the risks involved in having surgery abroad because there are plenty of threads in the EU forum which would dissuade me. The surgeons may be good but the post op care is much to be desired and in the past (might still happen now) that clinic was advising people to drain fluid with hypodermic needles themselves, this is just madness and would not fly in this country! There have also been cases where people have got hemotoma's and have had to been picked up by the NHS in this country.

I understand money is a factor, but seriously weight up all options there are credit options these days which may be a better route to go down.

I'm 9 days post op from surgery near Wroclaw, Poland and so far pretty happy. The surgeon is registered as a specialist on the british medical council so I felt confident that I had made a good choice. The price was £1400 and flights and hotel summed to £200.
I must admit I had a mild case of gyno (puffy nips) so there is less chance of stuff going wrong but he does more complicated procedures every day. Ultimately though, if you can afford going in the UK then its the less risky option.

Lyne but the results speak for themselves. As far as I'm aware neither of the doctors post on these forums. Granted there are probably few other cheaper surgeons in the UK but ask yourself if it's worth paying the extra 500 pounds or so for a much better result.
It's all about results at the end of the day as you can't really afford to have repeat surgery.

Any job worth doing, is worth doing right! And worth doing right the first time!
