It's been almost a week since I had surgery with Dr. Karidis. The surgery went smoothly. Karidis was kind and smart. There was quite a lot of pain but nothing I couldn't handle. The nausea-inducing pain killers were worse to be honest! The next day when I had a look, it was so cool to finally see what I had been wanting to see for ages (although I was a little swollen). Now I am super excited about what the future holds in terms of being able to go swimming. I know that everyone says "be prepared for the unevenness" that follows and I was totally in that mindset. However, I noticed that my left pec has a firmish ridge forming under the pec area whereas the right pec is already healing so nicely. Please tell me that this will go away with time! I say this because the right pec is healing like a charm! In addition, when is it appropriate to go swimming after this surgery - I am willing to wait months or even a year if necessary! I just want my recovery to go well!
