Not sure, I think the majority here (myself included) were fitted into compression vests.

damn really? he told me to come back in two days and he'll take it off, he told me to bring a shirt that's 2 sizes too small or some type of under armor to wear for after, thats when i'll be wearing one i think

It's not your fault, the surgeon should have given you a clear instruction.

Bandage only? How about the compression vest?  How big was the surgery?  I believe if any liposuction was done, he should have required you to wear tight compression for at least three to four weeks.  I'm in my 6th week and still wearing compression.

I have posted pictures on how I looked like post-op for several weeks. Please read my story below.

Good luck!

i didn't get lipo, just excision, he didn't really say, he said come back in two days and he'll take the bandage off and that's when i'll need a compression vest to wear

Well, i think he did a great job, looks good so far other than around one nipple it looks like a clot of blood, i saw him today and he didn't say anything but i got the bdnage off, my phone doesnt work so i tried to take some with camera on laptop but it sucks, this picture was before the surgery (it was 2 years ago, my gyno got a lot worse than this) and the other are taken today, 2 days after my surgery, even if its not perfect, im really happy, at least a golfball from each side was taken out, good riddance

and this is the before, it was a lot worse, like i said,  i dont think i have any before photos that show how bad it was, they were really puffy, this one was 2 years ago, and it got a lot worse

i also have 2 stitches that are like at the bottom of my pecs, not sure what they were for.

Congrats! Great results! Now I see why he didn't recommend wearing compression!

When are you allowed to go back to gym?

like, do compression vests make the final result better? or does it just take longer to achieve without one

I asked my surgeon what's gonna happen if I don't wear compression vest at all, remember I started with a much severe case compared to yours and I also had liposuction on my chest, abdomen and flanks.  He said, if the body 'sees' any void spaces, it will try to fill them up with scar tissues. So he required me to wear very tight compression vest and binder. And I have not formed any scar tissues.

Good luck!
