how would you deal with tethering and lax skin?

It depends on the circumstances.Do you mean before surgery or after surgery. A photo is useful as well.

I had surgery on 14 jan 2015. I've got tethering on the right side in one spot. I was just wondering how you would rectify this problem, I massage every day for 5mins like my PS told me to.he said he would make small incision a separate skin from muscle? Is this the correct way to do it? If not what is the correct way.Is it ok to go into hot tub?

As previously suggested to you, best idea is to wait until full healing has occurred.  You might be surprised at some of the spontaneous improvement.

If, after full healing, you still have a problem, then your first step is to return to your surgeon for a discussion of the problem.  You would probably be best off also consulting a gyne expert in your area for a second opinion.
