I am one week post op and I feel great. When is it truly safe for me to begin light cardio such as a stationary bike? Do I really have to wait a month? Also when can I return to lifting legs and working out my core

I was traveling and missed this post. By now, I'm sure you've resumed your exercise. I allow patients to start doing cardio after a week, and I allow resistance training after two weeks, avoiding direct chest exercises for four weeks total.  By now, you should be back to normal activity doing everything that's comfortable.

You should follow your own surgeon's instructions. I don't let my patients exercise till two weeks after surgery.
