Hello doctors,
I have recently had periareolar mastopexy (my previous surgery was a full gynecomastia one). Can I safely do the following 3 exercises (please see the photos, "chin ups,  Dips, & Chest press) after I'm healed, without putting myself at the risk of incision spreading and also the permanent suture (goretex) breakage, etc? If yes, when, and how heavy  can I go?
Thank you

After four to six weeks post-op, I don't place any restrictions on any of my gynecomastia  patients, including those in whom I do peri-areolar mastopexy.  So the exercises you've indicated would be permitted based on my normal approach and recommendations.  You should confirm with your surgeon that he or she doesn't have an issue, but many surgeons, who are not necessarily "gym people" may not be as comfortable giving you weight training advice.

I  agree with Dr. Silverman that after 6 weeks you should be good to go. You should definitely check and listen to your own surgeon though.

When was your surgery?

Now, 10-week post op. My surgeon says I should wait 1 year before chest exercise such as chest press which is too long!
