Recovery time

One think that I've been thinking about is does the recovery time vary depending on the size of the gynecomastia? Like for example I have a pretty minor case, does that mean that I have to wait less until I can start working out again? And how long until I can start running again for example?

Yes, recovery, in some part, is due to the extent of the surgery.  On the other hand, small gyne doesn't equate with simple surgery -- some of my toughest cases have been to deal with "small" gyne.  

Surgical expertise also matters.  If the chest muscle is damaged during lipo, it can cause more pain and bleeding post op.  The general health of the patient will also impact recovery.  And finally, your recovery will depend upon your following your doctor's instructions to the letter.  If you ignore those recommendations and have a setback, you will know who is responsible.

Bottom line:  choose your surgeon very carefully and do not be cavalier about the procedure -- it is real surgery.
