When feeling around skin is gone?

Had surgery 3 weeks ago and a part on the chest's skin i have no feeling in.  I asked my doctor and he said that it was normal and the feeling and the skin will tight up as time goes by.

Have anyone else expereinced this?

Yes, you can have some numbness for a month or two...depending on what was done.
