ERECT NIPPLES FRONT!

It doesn't look all too bad with erect nipples but within a matter of minutes everything returns to a relaxed state.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Very similar to mine - although it looks like you have more muscle definition in your pecs than I do. Can't believe tomorrow is the day for me. Feels a bit like Christmas as a kid! The thing I'm most worried about is how thirsty/hungry I'm going to be with no food or drink for 6 hours before!
Will try and take some before and after pics and share on here. I know that seeing everyone's success stories and pictures really helped me make the decision to have the op so hopefully I can do the same for others.

Also very similar to mine... mine might be a bit worse if anything! Difficult to tell on yourself! I'll have to get some photons taken before next week!

UPDATE - MORNING AFTER SURGERY

I had my operation yesterday morning and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. I arrived one hour early at 7:30am but was admitted almost straight away which was a nice touch as it saved waiting around and allowed me to settle in. Karidis came round soon after for a quick chat and marked me up and that was the last I saw of him. It kind of feels a bit impersonal that he doesn't see you again post surgery but it's evident he's an extremely busy man who runs a tight ship to strict deadlines so I guess there just isn't time.

The nurse called for me at 11am and I walked down to theatre. The anaesthetists were very calm and reassuring which helped alleviate any last minute nerves. I remember putting on an oxygen mask, taking a few breaths and the next thing I knew I woke up in recovery looking at the clock - it was 12:40pm. I had quite a bit of pain initially including a burning sensation across the chest but this was due to the two ice packs they place under a compression bandage immediately after surgery. I received some pain relief which kicked in straight away and then got transferred back to the room after 30 minutes of monitoring.

Karidis nurse Suzi came round at 4pm for a final check up. She removed the dressings and this was the moment I finally got a glimpse of my chest. I must say it felt amazing to look down a see a completely flat chest for the first time in over 20 years. She placed the compression garment on and although it was tight, I didn't find it overbearing or uncomfortable. We chatted about the post operative recovery process and she handed over the spare vest, waterproof dressings, arnica tablets and pain relief. I had one final check of my blood pressure by the nurse and was discharged just after 5pm. The short tube journey to Victoria from St. Johns Wood and 45 minute train ride home was trouble free and I eventually got home around 7pm.

Here are my last ever gyno pictures!

I will be having my first shower around midday so will update further later in the day.

UPDATE - DAY 1 POST OP

I didn't sleep too well last night. Managed to grab a few hours but the sleep was broken which I guess is to be expected the night after surgery sleeping on your back. I also bled quite heavily from the incision under my left armpit. It's a good job I put one of those protective covers the hospital give you on the sheets before going to bed!

Woke up this morning very stiff and it was a bit of a struggle sitting up in bed, however once on my feet the mobility returned and I'm doing fine today. It's a little tender and tight but in no more pain than the muscle soreness you get a day or two after a heavy chest workout in the gym.

I took the dressings off around lunchtime in preparation for a shower and had the first real look at my chest. I'm extremely pleased with the appearance and cannot believe how flat it looks, almost under flat if that makes any sense. My nipples have shrunk in size and the puffiness is non-existent. My left side is somewhat swollen and tender compared to the right, particularly behind the nipple but this is the area which had the largest mass of gland removed so it probably had a bit more work to get it all out. The bruising has started to develop and has gone black in some areas but this should subside in the coming days and weeks. Just got to take each day as it comes now and deal with the changes in appearance to my chest as it heals and recovers. I'm not expecting and easy ride and fully understand this is a 6-9 month process, possibly longer and not a 5 minute fix.

Post op pictures below.

Looks really good! Good luck with your recovery! I wondered if you would see karidis after the surgery! Shame you don't...

Looking at your before pics, I think mine is a lot worse than yours... I'll get some pics up shortly!

Really can't wait to get this done now!
