Had surgery just over a week ago and overall I'm very pleased with the results thus far. Though, yesterday my left nipple began to darken to a purplish colour. The surrounding areola has not changed besides becoming a bit swollen. I've also noticed more itchiness on that side and less sensation in the nipple of concern. I'm just worried about potential circulation issues and wondering if this warrants further attention. The photos bellow are of each nipple, for the sake of comparison. (I'm assuming the black stuff beneath the left nipple is just dry blood under the surgical tape)

If the nipple itself is dark after gyne surgery, it is usually a few drops of blood that got into the ducts of the nipple.  This is harmless and will disappear soon.
