It's early to comment on the results, since swelling will obscure what was done at this early stage.  When I describe what I've done relative to volumes of fat removed, I often describe it in terms of "sticks of butter," since this gives patients a visual sense far greater than 50 cc or 100 cc might provide.  If you had 50 cc of fat removed from each side, that's about 1/2 stick of butter.  Imagine that fluffed up a bit and distributed on the chest in the areas addressed with the revision.  That amount should provide improvement, though possibly not 100%, but it would also be unlikely to leave any sort of crater resulting from over-resection.  Let us know how things are in about 6 months!

Thank you Dr. Silverman!

Thank you for your photos. I think about your case a little differently.  I think that you have a crater deformity which is seen in the central location under the nipple area..  The dark shadows  really show it well. The surround tissue should be used as fat flaps to correct the deformity and then shape the chest after that repair. This would be my approach.Good luck.

Thanks for the reply, under certain lighting the crater/indents are more visible. I took that picture in a clothing store change room. However they are barely visible with my shirt off in an outside environment. I am going to judge the final results in a few months with that in mind and then bring it forward to my doctor if the indents are visible at that point.

Hello Everyone

I'm starting to get a little concerned about my right side. I am aware I have a craters, however my concern is that it was less noticeable at first and now seems to be more visible on my right side.
I am wondering if this is just merely scar tissue or swelling? will my chest look like it did at the 2 week mark after subsiding? my left side seems to have little to no swelling and has subsided from the 2 weeks post operation. I have also gained a bit of weight so I am not sure if combination of that plus scar tissue is causing the appearance on the right side.

Well, after two months, the results of your revision surgery are beginning to become apparent.  And, I am sorry to say, I don't see much significant improvement.  You still have craters and irregular areas of residual tissue.  Having gained weight doesn't help either.

You basically have two choices:  live with the results (you claim it is much better overall than pre-op) or look for expertise with a different surgeon.

Good luck!

It's early but it does not appear that the areas were adequately addressed. You need to allow swelling to resolve but either accept the results once the swelling has resolved or seek out an experienced surgeon.

I agree with the others. I would not do any additional surgery until waiting at least six months after your recent revision.
