First, thank you all for answering our questions here - it definitely helps us as we learn and make decisions about this condition.

I've done alot of reserach on Laser Lipo and have found pros and cons. I'm worried about all the cons, especially burns, pitting, and irregular texture. There seem to be virtually no ill side effects for regular lipo, which has worked great for years.

Are these valid fears or is Laser Lipo a quality/safe option?

Laser lipo is relatively new and is hyped as the latest and greatest.  You are correct -- there are potential problems with it (such as burns from under the skin), etc which are not possible with standard lipo.

Also, laser lipo is touted to tighten skin -- but if your skin is in reasonably good shape, it has sufficient innate elasticity to tighten on its own without help from the laser.

Caveat Emptor!  (let the buyer beware)

First Laser Liposuction has essentially disappeared because of its relative ineffectiveness and cost. As far as Laser Liposuction for gynecomastia the issue is not typically excess fat but rather a combination of fat and glandular tissue both of which need to be addressed to optimize the final result. Laser Liposuction in particular and Liposuction in general is not an effective method to remove glandular tissue.
