It is impossible to comment without seeing photos. And even at that, 0there's nothing better than a real examination to determine tha amount of skin elasticity that would help with the healing.

I also missed the photo the first time through--but when I saw it, I confess, it's fairly unimpressive as scars go. I'm not sure how long ago your surgery was, but I wouldn't add an unnecessary scar to try and make the scar you have less conspicuous (I'm not sure I understand your idea actually). At most, I might try to revise the area that's widened, but it would really depend on if you had any abnormal healing at the time. Most importantly, if the scar is less than a year old, I wouldn't do anything to it but allow for time and fading.
