as you rightly pointed out sophie in the other thread you posted in its an embarrasing condition to have, some of these guys on here have sufferd most of there lives with this condition, trying to find different methods of hiding it like never taking there shirts off whilst on there holidays or even at home, only wearing baggy clothes, and only wearing a certain colour of clothing... because other colours cast shadows and make the condidtion more aparent!.
Its a condition i have found that realy knocks the confidense out of people, i mean the people on here are absolutley great bunch of guys you couldnt wish for a better crowd, but if you ask most of them, they will have a problem with talking to people about there condition face to face, i myself have only had gnyecomastia for a couple of months now.. but it was my own doing because i had used steroids, i myself in this short time have noticed i cannot wear most of my Tshirts and have become realy selfconcious about people looking at me, thinking to myself have they noticed.. even if they havent you still think people have noticed.
i just hope you get someone to bring this condition in to the light alot more sophie, the more the public hear about such conditions the more people will understand the pain and suffering it causes... and its not something to be laughed or pointed at.
Testicular cancer wasnt understood by many a few years back, it was somthing that many didnt take seriously, all you had to do was mention the word "testicles" and people would giggle and laugh and it would force people to stay away from the doctors and not talk to anybody for the fear of being laughed at or not to be taken seriously, but now it has been covered so much by the press and TV it is not laughed at anymore and many lives have been saved.
Obviously i dont speak for everybody on here sophie but this is just my opinion, but good luck in bringing this condition in to the light, it might be a bit of a hard task to get somebody to step forward because of the confidense and embarressment issues, they just want rid of the condition and to carry on with the rest of their lives.
good luck sophie
